Center Stick Boot
The first drawing below is Mike Fothergill's boot template.
I used black naugahyde. Instead of using a lace as Mike had shown, I had Carol sew Velcro to the boot to close the seam that goes around the stick. There is also Velcro sewn on the front flange and rear flange. The front flange of the boot is under my center radio console. The rear boot flange just Velcro's down. The side boot flanges are held in place with two .025" small aluminum plates. The countersunk screws with decorative washers (like the ones on the canopy screws) go through the .025" plates, then through the boot flange then into captive nuts. The captive nuts are the spring looking type that slip over the edge of the center console skins.
