Lafayette is located in north central Tennessee near the Kentucky
line, about 65 miles northeast of Nashville. It is a rural
community with a
population around 4,000. However, there is a Super Wal-Mart and
TSC located on Hwy 52 about 1 mile from downtown.

information about Lafayette and Macon County.
The house was built cir 1947 by the Coley family. This entire
area was once part of the Coley farm. They sold all the land
north of Coleytown Rd, which was sub-divided into 2 & 3 arce
lots. The smaller Coley farm is still located on the south side
of Coleytown Rd. This area has some restrictions: no trailers or
pre-manufactured homes. Horses and farm type animals are allowed.
The previous owner had several horses and 2 calves. However, they
took most of the electric fencing. It wasn't replaced because we
didn't have any animals. The house is located about 5 miles from
downtown Lafayette.

In our opinion, the yard needs more trees and other greenery. We
have started fixing that by planting 15 Emerald
Green Thuja trees along the west
property line by the house for more privacy and wind barrier.
We have also planted 2 Southern Pine, 4 Maples, 2 Magnolias, 1
Oak and more throughout the yard. We plan to continue planting a
couple more each payday as the planting seasons permit.
