Fagen was my very first show weimaraner, and very first male weimaraner, and very first champion! Needless to say, he is very special to me! Fagen was always very easy going and happy go lucky. He welcomed each new addition with open paws and loved the pups.
On April 13, 2001, Fagen became part of the O'Hara family is Poultney, Vermont. There he was cared for and loved by all, especially Dennis who saw him as his new brother. Phil and Fagen shared a special bond that is beyond words. Back then, a 12 year old Dennis wrote, "I think he is great! Alanna, we think weimaraners and Fagen are fantastic. He is never too tired to go for walks rides and so on. He is always very cool, and loves water and although Fagen does not like baths he gets right in the tub and I think he enjoys parts of it!"
It was with the O'Hara family and in Phil's loving arms and care that Fagen passed to the bridge to join his sister Bailey, Mell, Sulley & and Gerda without whom we would never have had Fagen or any other weimaraners.
How do you thank a family that adopts and loves your "child" as much as you did? Thank you so much, for loving Fagen as much as you did. I know that he smiled -that silly teeth bearing grin- for you to the end and want you to know that I am so very happy and proud that he was able to bless your family as he did ours.
I will always hold a special place in my heart for Fagen and in my prayers for Phil, Sabine, Dennis and family. God sends us what we need when we need it. Fagen was a gift to both our families.
