Liadain is Gaelic, meaning simply, gray lady.
Liadain was to be our foundation bitch, but it was not in the cards for
her. She prefers life at home in the field and was not at all
excited
about showing! Instead, she is the reigning "Queen" around here and
truly runs this show. We really believe that it is she who
imprints a
"show attitude" on the younger weims. Of course she does this
because of her, better them than me attitude. Whatever
her motive, I
am so grateful to share my home and life with this very special grey
lady. She keeps everyone in line and is very vocal with her
commands for the youngsters. She doesn't really mind being targeted
by the youngsters unless she is on point! That is when she
teaches
them all about backing and honoring!!!
Liadain has always had an insatiable love of the water and below are pictures taken in July of 2007. She is much older now and aches a lot of the time but her tail wags constantly and we shared some special time at the lake this week. I had to share these with you.
