Room 1 is handicapped accessible. It has a queen bed with brass headboard, jetted whirlpool tub in private bath, antique dresser and a sofa looking out at rolling fields and mountain view.
Room 2 is a bright spacious room with a private bath on the first floor. Heart motif (stenciled by Elizabeth) with a queen brass bed and a heart enameled twin bed.
Room 3 "This bright oversized room is tastefully decorated in an Ivy motif. It includes a King Size Brass Bed, wonderful antiques with a beautiful commode washstand. This room has a private bath, vanity table with a make-up mirror and it's own sitting area."
Room 4 "Contrast and harmony makes #4 my favorite room. In Summer the winter picture scenes of snow, barns and trees stand out against the lush green of fields viewed from the window. The Snow scenes in Winter flow from the room to the fields to the mountains. I enjoy watching the lights of the groomers going up and down Mount Snow as I fall a sleep and I know tomorrow will be a good day. A queen brass bed, a private bath makes this room feel more like home than home itself!"
Room 5 Same great view as the other rooms. This room shares the tiled bath with room 6. "Twin beds here. Bright and cheery - a less expensive place to stay."
Room 6 "It is a big room with a sink and mirror in it. Wonderful reading lights and light over the sink where I can actually see to shave. This room shares a bath with room 5 but they are the only rooms in this section. Although we are only two, this room can easily accommodate three singles or a family of four in one double bed and two twins."
Rooms 5 and 6 are wonderful for a family. Many families choose to take one room for themselves and put the children in the other.
Buzz and I think it is interesting that not one person mentioned that the rooms with private baths also have TVs. They must enjoy the socializing that goes on with others in the house or they are so relaxed that it wasn't important to mention.
Rooms B & D are in the 1803 farmhouse with real plaster walls and wide pine flooring. These rooms also share a bath with a large tile shower. The old large tub is in the bath at the foot of the stairs.
Room B "has a queen bed with a brass headboard. There is a beautiful antique dresser and rocker. It is a large room with a quilt that Elizabeth made. I feel like I'm at Grandma's house."
Room D "has a stenciled antique headboard on a double bed and there is a twin bed. The decor is a mix of the 30's and colonial. On the wall is a Star Quilt with a Best of Show Ribbon. The quilted spreads match the colors in the quilt perfectly. There is a love seat which my husband and I turn towards the mountains and enjoy a drink together."
