DANCE EVENTS AT FINDHORN FOUNDATION 2004

Festival of Sacred Dance, Music and Song 10 - 17 July 2004

Special Guest Teacher Steve Kotansky

This festival attracts dancers, singers and musicians from all over the world. Laura Shannon, Peter Vallance and Andy Bettis will teach dance with live music from Rory and Kate O´Connell, Laura and Andy, Bill and Stella. Kate´s Song Choir and Bill Henderson´s Circle Dance Scratch Band will give participants a chance to perform on the last night of the festival.

Our guest teacher is Steve Kotansky from the USA, one of the world´s most popular and knowledgeable teachers of Balkan and Rom (Gypsy) dance, who teaches with boundless energy, humour, and an awareness of the spiritual qualities inherent in traditional dance.

8 Aug - 18 Aug Koprivshtitsa Festival in Bulgaria

The biggest folklore festival in Bulgaria with Dance, Ritual, Song and Music happens once every five years. It is very likely that the festival will be in 2004 instead of the expected 2005. If so Peter Vallance, in conjunction with the Bisserov Sisters, will be offering a 10 or 12 day Sacred Journey for Dancers (including one day with Laura Shannon) that will include the festival.The proposed cost of £695 (early booking price by 1st May 2004) will include all transport and accommodation in the country, attending Festivals, Sacred Sites tours, Bulgarian singing and dancing workshops and dinners. Itinerary based on arriving in Sofia Not included is your flight to Bulgaria.
